Version 2.5.2 is a bug fix release.
Remember? is a ShareWare personal reminder package for the Macintosh. It notifies you of important dates and times when you turn on your Mac and while you work. This software is not free. Payment is expected after a two week trial period.

Summary of Changes Since Version 2.5.1
･ Persistent occasions created with versions prior to version 2.5 could have an extra "ghost" occurrence in What's Happening lists on the day before they actually occur. This version exorcises the ghosts (they could only appear for the first occurrence after you started using version 2.5 or later. Subsequent occurrences of the occasion were ghost free.)
･ In previous versions, marking an instance on an occasion as Completed removed that instance and all prior instances of the occasion from your schedule. This made it difficult for folks who like to refer to past dates. Starting with this release, both future and past completed occasions are listed with "-- completed" appended to their description.
Similarly, when you Mark Complete the last occurrence of an occasion, you have the option of either deleting or keeping it. "Kept" occasions now remain in your schedule (they did not in previous versions.)
I think the new behavior is more reasonable since it doesn't hide things from you. However, there is a preference item that allows you to revert to the old behavior of hiding completed occasions if you prefer it. Select Preferences... in the Remember? menu, then select What's Happening Window from the pop-up menu above the list of preferences. Click on the list item named "Show Completed Occasions?" and change it to No to restore the old behavior.
･ Opening an Occasion window no longer resets an existing occasion's "Persists since" or "Completed until" dates (this bug has existed since version 2.5.)
･ Corrected metric preferences units label from "mm" to "/ 10 mm" (tenths of millimeters. Technically these are deci-millimeters but I don't think "dmm" would mean much to most folks.)
･ Added work-around for conflict with A La Carte control panel. It uses menus reserved for desk accessories which could have resulted in an A La Carte menu appearing when you clicked on a pop-up menu in "Remember?".
･ Corrected the date for the Watergate break-in listed in the expanded occasion file collection (available separately.) It was listed in January rather than June. Many thanks to Mr. George Herman for pointing this out (he should know since he helped break the story.) Also added Slovene, Japanese and Swedish holiday files that were contributed by users.
Known Problems
･ What's Happening window contents are not automatically updated when someone on the network changes the contents of a shared occasion file. This will be fixed in the next major release or possibly in another bug fix update.
Work on the next major release is underway. It will be a true application rather than a desk accessory and will require System 7 or later. I may release a desk accessory version for System 6 folks if there is sufficient demand.
